I started with my own experiences - moments across my life and career when I felt most alive, creative, and connected.
For transparencyโs sake, Iโll share the results of my own reflection.
Across a pretty eclectic list of experiences - from leading enterprise go-to-market efforts and traveling the world for client and stakeholder meetings, to being a Universal Studios tour guide, motivating diverse groups to surpass fitness targets, and coaching high performers through reinvention - 5 themes came up again and again:
Designing experiences that move people
Energizing others to go further than they thought possible
Learning through new lenses (cultures, industries, perspectives)
Storytelling that connects and makes meaning
โจ Creating things that didnโt exist before - but needed to

But hereโs what I know: itโs not about the title or the company.
Itโs about whatโs underneath - what brings real fuel to your fire.

Because when you know your themes, you stop outsourcing fulfillment to the next job or the next goal.
You can begin to
Thatโs the difference between just doing your job - and truly leading from depth.
If you tried the reflection exercise yesterday, Iโd love to hear:
